New Director William A. Lupien Joins Beaufield Board

Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. William A. Lupien as an independent director of the company subject to regulatory approval. The Board of Directors has granted incentive stock options to Mr. Lupien, to purchase up to an aggregate of 400,000 common shares in the capital stock of the Company exercisable for a period of 5 years at $0.25 per share.

William A. Lupien has been active in the securities industry since joining the California-based brokerage firm of Mitchum, Jones & Templeton Inc. (MJT) in 1965. Mr. Lupien served as Chairman and CEO of MJT, while also a specialist on the floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange for 17 years. He was a NASDAQ market-maker for 5 years.

Upon leaving MJT in 1983 Mr. Lupien served as President, then Chairman and CEO of Instinet Corporation, and was responsible for Instinet's move into trading NASDAQ stocks prior to being acquired by Reuters Plc.

Mr. Lupien has served on numerous private and public company boards including Mitchum, Jones & Templeton, Instinet, National Health Enterprises, Energy Metals Corporation, and others. He also held a position as Trustee of the Securities Industry Institute and the Securities and Exchange Commission National Market Advisory Board as well as being a Governor of the Pacific Stock Exchange for 6 years.

Mr. Lupien is currently a private investor and a financial equity market consultant. He is on the board of directors of Uranium One (TSX:UUU), Midway Gold Corp. (AMEX, TSX:MDW), Potash One (TSX VENTURE:KCL), Aflease Gold Ltd. (JSE:APO) and Skyler Technology Inc.

Mr. Paul Carmel, President and Managing Partner of MinQuest Capital Inc. has announced his resignation from the board of directors of Beaufield. Mr. Carmel has been a key contributor to the revival of Beaufield following reorganization approximately 10 years ago. His contribution to land acquisition, financing and exploration has been invaluable.

Beaufield is very pleased that Mr. Carmel will remain active as an advisor and as a continuing contributor to the success of the company.
